The Role: As a Primary Teaching Assistant in the Reception class, you will play a key role in supporting the teacher with day-to-day running of the classroom. Your duties will include: • Providing 1-1 support for children who need additional help with their learning and development. • Offering support during classroom lessons, helping children to stay focused. • Leading small group activities to encourage social, cognitive and emotional development. • Assisting with Speech, Language and Communication (SLC) interventions, promoting language development through creative, fun and play-based activities. The ideal candidate will be creative, playful and have a strong ability to engage young children in their learning. This would be a suitable opportunity for a Nursery Practitioner seeking career development or for somebody with a background in play work, as your ability to make learning fun and accessible will be key to helping children reach their potential. We are looking for: • A passion for working with young children, particularly in an early years setting. • A creative approach to learning. • Experience or interest in supporting children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and experience using intervention methods such as SALT or Elklan strategies.
