Job Title: Psychology Graduate Opportunity - Specialist Learning Support
Are you a Psychology graduate who chose your degree because you want to make a real difference for young people with complex needs? Join a purpose-built specialist provision in South Gloucestershire opening multiple new classes this September to support learners aged 2–19 with severe learning difficulties (SLD) and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).
What you’ll be doing:
Building trusting relationships to support pupils’ social, emotional and cognitive development
Delivering structured, highly personalised support based on individual Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs)
Using sensory strategies, communication tools and visual supports to reduce anxiety and increase engagement
Supporting meaningful participation in learning, therapy sessions and daily routines
Recording progress and contributing to reflective team planning
About you:
Passionate about inclusive education and passionate about neurodiversity
Eager to learn and apply evidence-based practice
Able to collaborate closely with teachers, therapists and families
