Job Title: School Receptionist
Front of House (FOH) Staff Member – Primary School (N17)
Location: Primary School, N17 (Tottenham area)
Hours:
8:00am – 12:30pm or
12:30pm – 4:00pm

Contract Type: Part-time, term-time only
We are looking for a friendly, organised and professional Front of House (FOH) Staff Member to join our busy primary school office in N17. You will be the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff and visitors, so a warm manner and clear communication are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome parents, pupils and visitors and manage the signing-in process
Answer telephone and email enquiries in a polite and efficient manner
Use Arbor (Arbour) MIS software daily for:
Updating pupil records
Attendance and registers
Sending messages to parents/carers
Support general office tasks such as filing, photocopying, printing letters and preparing documents
Liaise with staff to pass on messages and information promptly
Follow safeguarding and school security procedures at all times
Essential Requirements
Recent, hands-on experience using Arbor (Arbour) MIS software in a school setting – this is mandatory
Experience working in a school office or similar front-of-house/reception role
Excellent communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone
Strong IT skills (email, MS Office/Google, electronic registers)
Able to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
Friendly, approachable and child-focused
Right to work in the UK
Desirable
Experience working in a primary school
First aid or safeguarding training (or willingness to complete training)
Hours & Pay
Shift options: 8:00–12:30 or 12:30–4:00 (Monday to Friday, term-time only)
