Job Title: SEMH Learning Mentor
Axcis Education are working closely with an excellent academy who are seeking a creative and experienced teaching assistant to work with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. You will be responsible for supporting the lead of the learning support facilities with providing care and support to individual students through planned and differentiated activities. The successful candidate will: • Have experience of working with children and young people with SEND or SEMH needs • Be able to communicate effectively with students, colleagues and parents • Have experience of working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis • Be committed to prioritising the needs of the students in all that you do Your responsibilities will include: • Offering general classroom support to carry out directed learning activities • Providing support to individual students through planned and differentiated activities • Assisting with students’ personal, behavioural, and social development through appropriate advice and guidance This is a temporary full-time position with the view of it becoming permanent for the right person.
