Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
SEMH Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Wandsworth, London
£90–£95 per day
Monday to Friday | 8:00am – 3:30pm
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to work full time in a supportive school setting in Wandsworth, London.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to engage positively with learning and develop essential life skills.
Role Responsibilities:
• Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 or small group basis
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and behaviour management
• Providing emotional support and promoting positive behaviour
• Creating a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
• Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom
Requirements:
• Experience working with children with SEMH needs (preferred)
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s wellbeing and development
