About the Role
The school is seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join their dedicated team. The successful candidate will work closely with students who have a range of special educational needs, delivering tailored lessons that inspire, engage, and support their learning and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of students with SEN.
Implement a personalised and creative curriculum to support learning, communication, and life skills development.
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters independence and confidence in students.
Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each student.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to the development of their Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Effectively manage classroom behaviour and use strategies that support emotional regulation and well-being.
Communicate regularly with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on student progress.
Lead in a subject or key skill area as agreed with the Headteacher.
Contribute to the wider school community and participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Who We Are Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly PMLD, SLD, or ASC.
A creative and adaptable approach to teaching, with the ability to tailor lessons to meet individual needs.
Strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing, empathetic attitude.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
