Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant- Bromsgrove
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Bromsgrove
Contract: Full-time or Part-time (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm)
Pay: From £89 per day / £13.86 per hour
Start Date: December 2025
A welcoming school in Bromsgrove is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs and is seeking someone patient, reliable, and confident in providing consistent, nurturing support.
This role is suitable for people with classroom experience, but the school is also very open to candidates from care or support work backgrounds who have experience supporting vulnerable children or adults.
Both full-time and part-time positions are available.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with a range of SEN
• Assist pupils with learning tasks, routines, and emotional wellbeing
• Help implement IEPs and work closely with teachers and SENCOs
• Encourage pupils’ independence and positive behaviour
• Contribute to creating a calm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Requirements:
• Previous experience in a school or care/support setting is welcomed
• Experience supporting SEN children or vulnerable individuals is highly valued
• Full-time or part-time availability (minimum 3–4 days per week)
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
• A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
