Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic SEN primary school in Enfield EN1, working 1:1 or in small groups with children diagnosed with autism, ADHD and complex needs. This is a full time role, Monday to Friday, and hours are 8.30 am to 3.45 pm. Salary is £95 per day. Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 support, adapting learning materials and activities to meet individual needs. • Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement personalised learning plans and follow the Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). • Use visual aids, social stories, and sensory resources to support the learning and emotional wellbeing of pupils. • Support the development of communication skills through techniques such as Makaton, PECS, or other communication strategies. • Manage challenging behaviour using positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques.
