Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant - 16+
Location: Erith, DA8
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 3:30pm
We are currently working in partnership with a specialist SEND provision in Erith that supports students aged 16+, and we are looking to recruit Learning Support Assistants for both 1:1 and small group support.
About the Role
This role involves supporting young people with a range of additional needs, including:
PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties)
SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
Challenging behaviour
Medical needs
Down’s Syndrome
Cerebral Palsy
Wheelchair users
You will play a key role in helping students access learning, regulate their emotions, and develop essential life skills.
Curriculum and Environment
The setting provides a practical and engaging curriculum tailored to preparing students for adulthood, including:
Independent living skills and daily routines
Creative activities such as drama, arts and crafts
End-of-year performances and productions
Forest School and outdoor learning
Community-based work placements
This is a hands-on environment where no two days are the same.
