SEND Teacher (Part-Time) – BS11 Start date: September/ASAP MPS/UPS + SEN Point (for Permanent Post) Temp-to-Perm/Permanent Contract Are you a creative, energetic teacher ready to inspire students in an exciting, hands-on learning environment? We’re looking for a dedicated SEND Teacher to join an inclusive and forward-thinking SEN school located in the beautiful BS11 area. With a focus on experiential and outdoor learning, this role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of students with Autism, complex needs, and PMLD. What You’ll Be Doing: Delivering a sensory curriculum: You’ll teach primary-aged students with Autism and complex needs, creating engaging, sensory-rich lessons that make learning fun and accessible. Fostering independence: Support students in building essential life skills and developing their confidence through hands-on, real-world activities. Engaging in outdoor learning: You’ll have access to incredible outdoor facilities, including gardens and a forest school, where you can bring learning to life through nature-based activities. Expanding experiential learning: For those with a passion for hands-on teaching, there are opportunities to also work with post-16 students in a similar setting. What We’re Looking For: QTS/QTLS is essential for this role – we need someone who holds the necessary qualifications to teach in a specialist educational setting. Experience working with students with complex needs in a specialist provision. A warm, friendly, and approachable attitude, with excellent interpersonal skills and a playful nature. A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to process a new one). Primary Phase Focus (with Post-16 Opportunities): While this position is based in the primary phase, the school also has exciting post-16 opportunities available. These opportunities focus on experiential learning, making it a perfect fit for primary-trained teachers who are keen to expand their skills and experience.
