Position: SEND Teacher Location: Kingston, London Employment Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday (08:00?–?15:30) Salary: Paid to Scale Overview Our thriving primary/secondary school in Kingston is seeking a dedicated SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities) Teacher to join our inclusive teaching team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, personalised learning for pupils with a range of additional needs, supporting their academic progress and wellbeing within a collaborative, values-driven environment. Key Responsibilities • Plan, deliver and assess differentiated lessons for pupils with SEND, aligning with the national curriculum and individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). • Conduct timely assessments, produce clear progress reports and contribute to EHCP reviews. • Work closely with classroom teachers, teaching assistants, therapists and external agencies to implement coordinated interventions. • Maintain a safe, nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes independence, confidence and social inclusion. • Participate in staff development, safeguarding duties and whole-school initiatives focused on inclusion. Essential Qualifications & Experience • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – preferably with an endorsement in SEND. • Minimum 2?years’ experience teaching pupils with SEND in a mainstream setting. • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, EHCP processes and differentiated instructional strategies. • Excellent communication, organisational and collaborative skills. Desirable • Post-graduate qualification in SEND or related field. • Experience with a broad spectrum of needs (e.g., ASD, dyslexia, sensory impairments).
