About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities) Teacher to join our vibrant Hampton campus. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction for pupils with diverse learning needs, fostering inclusive practice and supporting each child’s academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, deliver, and assess tailored lessons in line with the National Curriculum and individual Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Collaborate with class teachers, therapists, and senior leadership to implement coordinated interventions.
• Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and produce timely reports for pupils, parents, and external agencies.
• Provide targeted small-group and one-to-one support, adapting resources and strategies as required.
• Contribute to whole-school SEND policy development, staff training, and safeguarding duties.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE or equivalent in SEND.
• Minimum 2?years experience teaching pupils with moderate to severe learning difficulties.
• Strong knowledge of statutory SEND frameworks, differentiation techniques, and behavioural management.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
Desirable
• Additional qualifications in autism, dyslexia, or related areas.
• Experience of using assistive technology and multi-sensory teaching methods.
