Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support
Are you an experienced teaching assistant with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? A vibrant primary school in Wembley is seeking a dedicated individual to provide 1:1 support for a child with non-verbal autism and challenging behaviour. This role is ideal for someone patient, adaptable, excellent at building relationships and committed to a long-term role.
About the Role:
• Full-time position: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM (with a 4:30 PM finish on Tuesdays for training)
• Work closely with the child to provide structured, personalised support in the classroom
• Encourage engagement with learning activities and help build key skills
• Provide personal care as needed
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience working in a primary school setting
• A minimum of a UK Level 3 qualification (A-level or equivalent)
• Strong English language skills (spoken and written)
• A compassionate, resilient and proactive approach to supporting SEND students
