Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant (Autism Support)
Location: Havering, RM11
Salary: £15.66 per hour
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM – 3:15 PM
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a student with autism in a mainstream school. You will help the student, aged 16-19, overcome barriers to learning and social interactions, supporting their academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 support to a student with autism, addressing their learning and emotional needs.
• Assist with personalized learning plans and help the student engage in classroom activities.
• Work with staff to track the student’s progress and offer emotional support.
Skills and Experience Required:
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to supporting students.
• Enthusiasm for helping students succeed.
