SEND Teaching Assistant (Autism Support) Location: Preston/Leyland Salary: Starting at £89 per day (PAYE) Hours: Full-time, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM About the Role: We are seeking dependable and experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to support students with autism in a specialist setting in Preston. The school itself, has class sizes of up to 12 students varying from ages 10-19, however there will be other teaching assistants too, and the class lead within. You will work 1:1 or in small groups, assisting students with autism in a safe, specialised and engaging environment. Key Responsibilities as a SEND Teaching Assistant: • Provide one-to-one or group support to students with Autism primarily, however there may be other additional needs such as ADHD, Challenging Behaviour etc. • Support students with challenging behaviours. • Collaborate with staff to meet students’ learning and care needs.
