Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant, Midday Support
SEND Teaching Assistant, Midday Support | Sutton | Quick Start | 11am-2pm | £14.25 per hour
Axcis Education is recruiting a caring and proactive Lunchtime Support Assistant for a supportive SEND school in Sutton. This role involves supporting pupils with Autism (ASD), learning disabilities, and complex needs during lunch and playground activities, helping to develop independence, social skills, and positive behaviours.
Responsibilities:
• Support pupils during lunch and recreational periods
• Encourage social interaction and positive play
• Assist pupils with transitions between activities and lessons
• Support children with Autism, SEND, and complex needs
• Help maintain a safe and inclusive environment
• Support eating, drinking, and personal care where required
Requirements:
• Experience in SEND, education, care, childcare, healthcare, or support work desirable
• Patient, caring, and reliable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable supporting personal care needs
• Passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
