Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant (NW10)
SEND Teaching Assistant (NW10) Start Date: Immediate Working Hours: 8:45 AM – 4:30 PM Pay: £89 per day, depending on experience (PAYE) Axcis is currently seeking multiple dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support students. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in both mainstream and specialist SEND settings, providing vital support to young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech, and language difficulties, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. In this role, you will assist students on a 1:1 or group basis, supporting young adults aged 16+. One of the standout features of the school is its comprehensive supported learning programme, tailored for individuals with learning difficulties and disabilities. This programme offers clear educational progression routes. Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 or small group support for students aged 16+ with diverse needs such as Autism, ADHD, speech, and language difficulties, and SEMH challenges. • Support students in both mainstream classrooms and specialist SEND settings. • Engage in a structured learning programme designed to help students with learning difficulties progress academically. • Contribute to fostering a positive and inclusive educational environment for students with additional needs. Skills and Experience Required: • Experience in healthcare, care roles, or working with children with SEND is highly desirable. • Enhanced Child and Adult DBS • Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with students and colleagues. • Patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting students' development. • Flexible and proactive approach to working in a dynamic environment.
