Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant - Special School
Axcis Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive secondary special needs school in Sale, who are on a lookout for a SEND teaching assistant to join them on a long term basis. This school caters to children aged 11-19 with a variety of special educational needs, including moderate to severe learning difficulties. Many of the students also have additional needs such as Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, and physical disabilities. The school offers a nurturing environment with small class sizes, allowing for personalised support tailored to the individual needs of each pupil. The goal is to help all students reach their full potential, both academically and in developing essential independence skills. The ideal candidate should: - Have previous experience working with children or young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs is essential. - Have experience in a special school, care setting, or youth work environment would be highly beneficial. - Be a calm, patient, and positive approach, with clear speech and communication skills. - Be proactive, flexible and passionate about working with SEND Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm.
