Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant – Wexham
Are you someone who thrives on making learning accessible and engaging for children with additional needs? A welcoming mainstream primary school in the Wexham area of Slough is searching for a teaching assistant with hands-on experience in supporting children with autism and speech & language challenges.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Working Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM alongside teachers to create a learning space where every child can flourish.
• Providing one-to-one and small group support to children with ASD and speech & language needs.
• Using interactive, visual and creative methods to keep children engaged.
• Adapting your approach to match each child's strengths and challenges.
• Helping to shape an inclusive and structured classroom environment.
What We’re Looking For:
• Classroom experience in a primary setting, preferably with SEND.
• The ability to connect with children naturally and build trust.
• A patient, flexible and hands-on approach to learning support.
• Confidence in behaviour management and supporting individual learning plans.
• A Level 3 UK qualification or above in a relevant field.
