Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Gloucester
Hours: Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM | Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Daily Pay Rate: £89
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, with the potential to become permanent after an initial settling-in period
What We Are Looking For:
• Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to remain calm in high-pressure or emotionally challenging situations.
• A calm, empathetic approach, and a genuine passion for helping young people thrive.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to engage with pupils who may use alternative methods of communication.
What the Role Involves:
• Supporting students aged 16–19 on a 1:1 or small group basis
• Working with young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and speech and language needs
• Assisting with learning, communication, and personal development
• Being part of a dedicated and welcoming team of educators and support staff
