Are you ready to make a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs?
Would you like to join a dedicated team that believes every learner deserves the chance to achieve their full potential?
Axcis Education is working with a purpose-built specialist school in Weymouth that provides outstanding education and care for children and young people aged 2 to 19 years with a wide range of learning difficulties, including autism, physical and sensory disabilities, and complex healthcare needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team committed to helping pupils flourish—academically, socially, and emotionally—in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The Role:
• Be the steady support every pupil requires, helping them access learning in a way that works best for them
• Deliver tailored learning experiences that celebrate individuality—because every pupil learns differently, and that’s what makes the role so rewarding
• Encourage emotional, social, and physical growth, helping pupils build confidence, independence, and a sense of achievement
• Foster a safe, trusting, and inclusive environment where pupils feel valued and motivated to try new things
• Use your organisational skills to support pupils’ daily routines and keep classroom life running smoothly
• Celebrate every success—whether it’s a big milestone or a small personal victory—because every step forward counts.
• Work closely with teachers and a dedicated team of professionals to ensure each pupil receives the care and creativity they deserve
• Provide hands-on support with patience, dignity, and compassion (full training and guidance will be provided)
• Bring energy and enthusiasm to the classroom—through play, sensory activities, or creative learning—making each day engaging and full of discovery
The Ideal Candidate:
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, ASC, or complex learning needs.
• An empathetic, calm, and patient approach to supporting emotional and behavioural needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to adapt to different learning styles.
• A proactive attitude and a genuine commitment to helping young people achieve their best
Why Join Axcis Education?
• Access to specialist SEN training and continuous professional development.
• The chance to make a real, long-term impact on children’s lives.
• Supportive partnerships with schools and consistent, rewarding work.
• Competitive daily pay and regular working hours.
If you’re looking for a rewarding role where every day brings new opportunities to help young people grow in confidence, independence, and ability, we’d love to hear from you.
