About the Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you’ll be a key part of a supportive school team, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning. Your role will include:
Delivering 1:1 or small-group support tailored to each pupil’s needs
Assisting teachers with lessons while promoting a safe and positive learning environment
Encouraging pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
Collaborating with staff, families, and external professionals to foster inclusive education
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a related role (Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Youth Worker, Carer, etc.)
A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children with SEND
Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to individual needs
Experience with challenging behaviour or complex needs (beneficial but not essential)
CACHE Level 2/3 or similar qualifications (desirable, not mandatory)
Role Details
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: £90–£95 per day
Location: St Austell
