We are currently seeking a confident and committed Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream secondary school in Yeovil, supporting pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs) and ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition). The successful candidate will be resilient, adaptable and highly skilled at building positive relationships with pupils who may present with additional behavioural or emotional needs. Working closely with class teachers, the SENCo and pastoral teams, you will provide targeted in-class and one-to-one support, helping students to access the curriculum, regulate emotions and develop positive coping strategies. You will play a vital role in promoting engagement, encouraging independence and supporting pupils to reach both their academic and personal potential. This role would suit someone who already has experience working in secondary settings or specialist provisions, and who is confident supporting pupils with complex needs in a mainstream classroom.
