Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team in Dorking, Surrey. In this role, you will support children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their individual learning goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the classroom teacher in delivering tailored support for students with diverse learning needs.
• Foster an inclusive environment that encourages engagement and social interaction.
• Implement individual education plans (IEPs) effectively and track progress.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
• Maintain a positive and safe learning atmosphere.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a teaching assistant, particularly with SEND pupils, is essential.
• A strong understanding of SEND frameworks and strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
• Ability to provide two years of professional references.
• A valid Child and Adult DBS check is required.
