Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
1:1 Teaching Assistant – Swanage | September Start
Are you passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Swanage is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 2 pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) from September.

The Role
Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with SEN, both inside and outside the classroom
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and encourage engagement
Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
Work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to implement personalised support plans
Monitor progress, celebrate achievements, and contribute to pupil reviews and assessments
Help maintain a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment
About You
Have personal or professional experience supporting children with SEN
Are patient, caring, and able to build positive relationships with pupils
Can adapt your approach to meet individual learning and behavioural needs
Work effectively as part of a wider school team
Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
Have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable due to the school's location)
