Job Title: SEND Teaching assistant
1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant – Reception Location: PR1 Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm Contract: Agency, term time only Pay: From £93-£96, depending on experience Axcis Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated 1:1 SEND teaching assistant to support Reception-aged pupils within a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school. This rewarding role involves working on a 1:1 basis with children who are in the process of receiving Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), helping them access learning, develop positive relationships, and thrive in the classroom. We're looking for someone who is patient, resilient, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs. What we're looking for: • Experience supporting children with Autism (ASC) and ADHD. • Confidence managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies. • Previous SEND experience is essential. • Previous Teaching Assistant experience is preferred; however, candidates with relevant SEND experience from other settings are encouraged to apply. • A caring, proactive, and flexible approach to supporting young learners. • An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered on the Update Service is essential.
