Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Special Needs Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Location: Erdington, Birmingham Days – Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 13:00 Setting: Mainstream Primary Start – January 2025 – July 2025 Pay: £83, DOE Axcis Education are supporting a Primary School in Erdington who are looking for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to be appointed from January 2025. The role is to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in Year 1, the successful candidate will have experience of using Makaton The school is a friendly and welcoming setting and caters for a range of Special Needs, including ASD and SEMH. The school promotes learning through a range of methods and activities are planned according to the level the child is working at. The successful candidate will be working on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in Year 1. The pupil has ASD and is non verbal, therefore, having experience of Makaton will be preferable as that is how the pupil communicates.
