Role Overview: Special Needs Teaching Assistant ?? Location: Reading ?? Start Date: January 2025 ? Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday ?? Pay: £83.40 per day (with a pay increase after 12 weeks) Your Day-to-Day: • Offer personalised support to students with diverse needs such as autism, severe learning difficulties and social or emotional needs. • Assist with personal care while maintaining a respectful and dignified approach. • Build trusting connections with students aged 4–18 to foster a nurturing environment. • Work flexibly across different classrooms, adapting to various ages and abilities. • Collaborate closely with teachers and specialists to implement individualised learning plans. What We’re Looking For: • Empathy and Patience: A natural ability to connect with and understand the needs of children. • Experience Matters: Personal or professional experience with special needs, whether in education, caregiving or a related setting. • Adaptability: Willing to assist with personal care tasks and adjust to different teaching environments. • Strong Communication Skills: Proficiency in English to effectively interact and support students and staff.
