Job Title: Student Support
Axcis have a unique and exciting new role in Exeter with a SEND college who work with young people aged from 16 – 25 years diagnosed with learning difficulties, Autism and sensory or speech impairments, as well as Social, Emotional, Mental Health. What is so unique about this college, is they work in the community, as well as in educational hubs in and around the city.
Your role will be a 1-1 student support and enabler planning person centred material to develop individual aspirations of the students. You will follow a curriculum including Math’s and English, devised by the College for you to teach and adapt in your style. You will be working on a 1-1 basis with the student in the community, safeguarding and risk assessment is an important part of the role keeping everyone safe and managing behavior is a desired skill to have for this role. The ideal candidate must have come from an educator / support worker or enabler background, understanding the vulnerability of young people. However, they do offer opportunities for those who are passionate with the right attitude.
All expenses once at work will be covered by the college monthly, however, your wages are paid weekly every Friday. For this role drivers are desirable but not essential. If you are successful and drive, you must get business insurance. This role can be 4 or 5 days per week. The daily rate of pay is £98 per day working 9:00 to 4pm. This role is for an immediate start.
