Axcis Education are looking to support an exceptionally well-respected and popular FE Provider in Leeds as they are looking to recruit a Sustainable Technologies and/or Accident/Body Repair Specialist. Ideally they are looking for a Course Leader but would be happy with a Tutor that may have aspirations to Course Leadership. The Sustainable Technologies Course Leader is a new position within the department, responsible for shaping and delivering a curriculum that focuses on sustainable refinishing techniques and technologies across various industries, including automotive, renewable energy (such as wind turbines), and aerospace. The role combines academic leadership, industry relevance, and a focus on sustainability to equip learners with the necessary skills to thrive in a rapidly evolving sector. This position plays a crucial role in aligning education with the growing demand for eco-friendly and innovative technologies. The role requires a dynamic individual with deep knowledge of sustainable practices, particularly in refinishing processes and material technology, who can inspire both students and faculty to achieve excellence. What You Will Do Curriculum Development & Innovation: You will lead the design and implementation of new modules and courses that are relevant to current and future industry needs, focusing on sustainability. High-Quality Delivery & Student Outcomes: You'll work closely with the teaching team to maintain high-quality delivery and adapt teaching practices to meet the diverse needs of students while ensuring they acquire the skills required for the green technology sectors. Industry & Policy Alignment: This includes preparing students for the evolving expectations of the labour market in sustainable technologies and refinishing sectors. Team Leadership & Professional Development: Leading a team of educators, you'll encourage continuous professional development to ensure all staff are up-to-date with the latest advancements in sustainable technology. Assessment & Progress Monitoring: You’ll be responsible for developing comprehensive assessment strategies that provide meaningful feedback to students, helping them progress in their learning and development. Student Engagement & Support: The role demands a passion for motivating and inspiring students to not only meet academic goals but to think creatively about their role in a sustainable future. Quality Assurance & Improvement: As part of maintaining high standards, you will complete course-level self-assessments and contribute to ongoing quality improvement plans.
