Job Title: Teacher - SEN
SEN Teacher – Special Needs School (South Harrow) Start Date: September 2025 Location: South Harrow Salary: Competitive (Dependent on experience) Contract: Full-time (Monday - Friday 8.30am-4pm) A special needs school in South Harrow is seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team in September. We provide specialist education for students aged 5-16, working at a learning level of up to Lower Key Stage 2. About the Role: - Plan and deliver tailored lessons to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. - Create a nurturing and structured environment to help students thrive academically and emotionally. - Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families to develop effective learning strategies. - Implement communication methods such as Makaton and PECS (desirable but not essential). Requirements: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential - Experience working with ASD and SEMH students. - Strong classroom management and differentiation skills. - Knowledge of Makaton/PECS is advantageous.
