Position: SEND Teacher (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities) Location: Hampton, Greater London Type: Full-time, Permanent – Monday to Friday, 08:00?–?15:30 Salary: Paid to scale (according to experience and qualifications) Role Overview We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join our inclusive primary/secondary setting in Hampton. You will deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction for pupils with identified special educational needs, fostering academic progress, social development, and wellbeing within a supportive, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities • Plan, prepare and deliver tailored lessons in line with the SEND Code of Practice and the school’s inclusion policy. • Conduct assessments, set individual learning targets, and regularly review each pupil’s Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan. • Work closely with class teachers, teaching assistants, therapists and external agencies to coordinate interventions and share best practice. • Provide one-to-one and small-group support, adapting resources and employing assistive technologies as required. • Maintain accurate records, produce timely progress reports, and contribute to whole-school safeguarding and pastoral duties. • Participate in staff development, CPD sessions and multidisciplinary meetings. Essential Qualifications & Experience • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE or equivalent in Special Educational Needs. • Minimum 2?years experience teaching SEND pupils in a mainstream or specialist setting. • Strong knowledge of statutory frameworks (SEND Code of Practice, EHC plans). • Excellent communication, organisational and collaborative skills.
