**Job Title: Teaching Assistant**
**Location:** Middleton, Greater Manchester
**Job Type:** Part-Time (3, 4, or 5 days per week)
**Working Hours:** 8.45 a.m. – 4.15 p.m.
**Salary:** £100 per day (PAYE)
**Start Date:** 25th August (flexibility for a later start date)

**Role Overview:**
We are currently seeking multiple passionate and supportive Teaching Assistants to join our team across both our Middleton and Rochdale campuses. This role is ideal for individuals who have a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people, particularly those who are vulnerable. You will play a crucial role in contributing to a supportive learning environment that enables students to achieve their full potential.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of activities under the guidance of the teaching staff.
- Provide support to individuals and small groups of students, helping to foster an effective learning atmosphere.
- Monitor and encourage the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers as needed.
- Contribute to the management of student behavior in the classroom and other college premises.
- Assist with the development of resources and educational materials.
- Act as a positive role model, maintaining high standards of professionalism.
- Support students with special educational needs and those facing barriers to learning.
- Liaise with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the well-being of students.
**Essential Requirements:**
- Must possess an up-to-date child and adult DBS on the update service.
- Experience working with vulnerable young people is essential.
- Adept at fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all students.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff and students.
- Adaptable, patient, and able to handle challenging situations with sensitivity and professionalism.
**Desirable Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in a college setting is valued but not essential.
- Relevant educational or support work qualifications.
