Job Title: Teaching Assistant – Secondary/College Level (KS3–KS5)
Location: Altrincham, WA15
Pay: Up to £104 per day
Start: ASAP
We are looking for a committed and flexible Teaching Assistant to support students across KS3, KS4 and KS5, with a stronger focus on KS3. This role involves working with students with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and a range of learning needs, including 1:1 support and general in-class assistance.
You’ll join a supportive team with access to CPD opportunities, experienced SENCOs, and chances to build strong relationships with staff, students, and parents.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for KS3 students with MLD and behavioural needs
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons across KS3–KS5
- Help maintain a positive, safe and engaging learning environment
- Support behaviour management strategies in and out of the classroom
- Liaise with SENCOs and teaching staff to ensure consistent support plans
- Offer feedback on student progress and contribute to intervention plans
- Engage with parents during after-school clubs, parent evenings, and other school events
We’re Looking For
- A patient, reliable and enthusiastic individual
- Experience working with young people or in an educational setting (preferred, not essential)
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to support students with additional needs
- A desire to learn, develop and work as part of a collaborative team
