Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEMH
Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (ASD / SEMH)
Location: Harrow
Job Type: Full-Time
Start Date: September
Salary: £89 p/day Dependent on experience
A respected all-through special needs school in Harrow is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to students with Autism (ASD) or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Responsibilities:
Support students aged 5–16, working at Key Stage 1 or 2 levels
Deliver tailored 1:1 support to meet individual learning and behavioural needs
Assist teachers in planning and delivering inclusive lessons
Help create a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment
Requirements:
Minimum 6 months’ experience in a school or youth work setting
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
Available to start full-time from September
Patience, empathy, and a positive, proactive approach
