Job Title: Teaching Assistant- SEN
Location: Merton
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30?am–4:00?pm

Role Overview:
The Learning Support Assistant works with pupils with profound and complex needs, supporting learning, personal care, and communication. The role includes implementing individualized programmes, facilitating access to the curriculum, and contributing to a positive and safe classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with PMLD.
Assist with personal care, feeding, and mobility needs.
Support communication using alternative and augmentative communication systems.
Implement individualized learning programmes in collaboration with teaching staff.
Monitor and record pupil progress, behaviours, and wellbeing.
Contribute to a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Experience working with PMLD pupils in educational or care settings.
Understanding of communication aids and strategies.
Compassion, patience, and resilience.
Ability to follow individualized care and learning plans.
Relevant SEN or learning support qualifications preferred.
