Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: Seaton, Devon Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary Working Hours: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday Salary: £90 per day (PAYE) We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly team at a primary school located in Seaton, Devon. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children and will provide support in both their educational development and their emotional and behavioural needs. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the delivery of classroom activities and educational programs under the direction of the classroom teacher. - Support individual students or small groups to help them overcome learning barriers and achieve their full potential. - Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required. - Aid in the preparation of learning materials and the maintenance of a clean and safe learning environment. - Contribute to the management of student behaviour, implementing school policies and procedures. - Participate in meetings and training sessions to continue developing professional skills and knowledge. - Ensure the safeguarding of students by adhering to all school safety policies and procedures. - Accompany and supervise students during extracurricular activities and school outings. - Assist with administrative tasks as needed, such as photocopying and filing. Essential Qualifications and Skills: - Previous experience working with children in an educational setting. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents. - Good literacy and numeracy skills. - A commitment to inclusive education and an understanding of how to cater to diverse learning needs. - The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. - A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to obtain one.
