Are you a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people?
Axcis Education agency is currently recruiting for a SEND teaching assistant to support students with special educational needs and disabilities in one of our partner secondary schools. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and supporting student progress both academically and emotionally.
The Role:
• Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support to students with a range of SEND needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
• Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment
• Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
• Promote student independence and emotional wellbeing
• Support with daily routines and ensure students are fully engaged in lessons
What We're Looking For:
• Previous experience working with young people with SEND (school or care setting)
• A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service
