Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant – Feltham (ASAP Start)
A welcoming Primary SEND Centre in Feltham is looking for an Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team ASAP. The centre supports children from Reception up to KS4, across six small classes with 6–7 pupils per class. Pupils have a range of needs including ASD, complex needs, challenging behaviour, and some are non-verbal.
We are seeking a confident, experienced, and dedicated practitioner who can provide consistent support and manage challenging behaviour effectively.
Role Details
Hours:
-Monday–Thursday: 8:30am–3:30pm
-Friday: 8:30am–3:00pm
-Full-time only (Monday–Friday)
-Location: Short walking distance from Feltham Station
-Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
-Contract: Long-term with the potential to go permanent
Requirements
-Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – essential
-Must be able to commit to full-time work, Monday–Friday
-Strong experience supporting children with ASD, complex needs, and challenging behaviour
-Previous work within a SEND educational environment
-Resilient, patient, and able to build positive relationships
Key Responsibilities
-Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
-Assisting non-verbal pupils using communication strategies and aids
-Managing challenging behaviour with a calm and consistent approach
-Working collaboratively with teachers and SEND professionals
