Job Title: Teaching Assistant
We are looking for a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a primary SEMH school in Andover. This Teaching Assistant role supports pupils with individual timetables who need help building self-esteem, improving academic skills, managing behaviour and developing social and emotional skills.
Role Details:
• Location: Andover
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
• Full-time
• Pay: £90–95 per day depending on experience
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
• Support pupils one-to-one and in small groups with SEMH or SEND needs
• Assist pupils with classroom learning and academic tasks
• Help pupils manage behaviour and emotional regulation
• Encourage confidence, independence and positive social skills
• Work with teachers, SENCOs and staff to deliver individual learning plans
Requirements:
• Experience working in a SEMH, SEND or primary school setting
• Patient, flexible and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for supporting pupils’ academic, behavioural and emotional development
