Job Title: Teaching assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at an all-through boys’ school in Wandsworth, catering for pupils aged 5 to 19. This is a full-time position, with a start date of ASAP or February 2026, and pay starting from £89 per day. Our school specialises in supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. All pupils have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), and we pride ourselves on providing a nurturing, structured, and inclusive environment where every learner is supported to thrive. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development. Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure positive outcomes for pupils. Support pupils in developing resilience, confidence, and effective coping strategies to fully engage in learning. The Ideal Candidate Will: Have experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs (or a strong desire to develop in this area). Demonstrate a patient, caring, and adaptable approach to behaviour and learning support. Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
