The Role - As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Support students in the classroom on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities
• Support pupils with additional needs, including SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
• Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
• Encourage student engagement, confidence and independence
• Opportunities are available in both mainstream and specialist settings.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience working with children or young people (school-based or other settings)
• A patient, proactive and positive attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
