Job Title: Teaching Assistant
A large all-through SEMH school in Salisbury is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant. This Teaching Assistant role supports pupils across primary and secondary age groups with SEMH needs, helping them access learning, develop social and emotional skills and build confidence while managing behaviour.
Role Details:
• Location: Salisbury
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
• Pay: £14.15 to £14.50 per hour depending on experience
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH and complex needs
• Assist pupils in accessing lessons and completing learning tasks
• Support positive behaviour, emotional regulation and social development
• Work closely with teachers, SENCO and specialist staff to implement individual support plans
Requirements:
• Experience working with pupils with SEMH, SEND or complex needs
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for helping pupils achieve academically, socially and emotionally
