Job Title: Teaching Assistant
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream secondary school in Andover. This Teaching Assistant role involves supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs, helping them engage with learning, develop social and emotional skills and improve behaviour and confidence. Role Details: • Location: Andover • Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time • Pay: £14.15 to £14.50 per hour depending on experience Teaching Assistant Responsibilities: • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND and SEMH needs • Assist pupils in accessing lessons and completing classroom activities • Support pupils with behaviour, emotional regulation and social development • Work closely with teachers, SENCO and specialist staff to deliver individual support plans • Help pupils develop independence, confidence and positive self-esteem Requirements: • Experience supporting pupils with SEND or SEMH needs • Patient, flexible and resilient approach • Strong teamwork and communication skills • Commitment to helping pupils achieve academically, socially and emotionally This Teaching Assistant role in Andover is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a mainstream secondary school supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs.
