Teaching Assistant – Richmond, London

Pattern: 3?days?per?week (within 07:00-18:00) – Full-time hours

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary/secondary school community in Richmond. Working closely with classroom teachers, you will help create a supportive, inclusive learning environment that enables every pupil to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the class teacher in delivering lesson plans, adapting activities to meet diverse learning needs.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group assistance, reinforcing concepts and monitoring progress.
• Supervise pupils during classroom work, breaks, and outings, ensuring safety and positive behaviour.
• Assist with the preparation of teaching resources, marking, and record-keeping.
• Contribute to pastoral care, fostering a respectful, encouraging atmosphere.
• Liaise with parents and staff regarding pupil welfare and achievement.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics (grade?C/4 or above).
• Relevant experience working with children in an educational setting (e.g., previous TA role, teaching practicum).
• Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow safeguarding policies and promote inclusivity.
• Flexibility to work any three days within the 07:00-18:00 window.
