Teaching Assistant – SEND School (Full-Time, Term Time) Location: Wimborne, Dorset Start Date: September 2026 Pay: £95-£100 per day Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30–15:30 (Term Time Only) Are you a Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role within a specialist SEND setting? A highly respected all-through SEND school in Wimborne is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This specialist school supports pupils aged 4–19 with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ADHD, and associated learning and communication difficulties. The Role As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and specialist support staff to: • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups • Assist with the delivery of personalised learning programmes and EHCP targets • Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement in learning • Support pupils' academic progress, social development and independence • Encourage communication, confidence and participation throughout the school day • Help create a safe, structured and supportive learning environment • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and wider professionals to meet individual pupil needs This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about SEND education and making a meaningful difference in young people's lives.
