The Role As an SEMH & Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with students who require additional emotional and behavioural support, helping them to engage positively with learning and school life. Your responsibilities will include: • Providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support for students with SEMH and behavioural needs • Building positive, trusting relationships that promote confidence, resilience and emotional wellbeing • Supporting students to regulate their emotions using positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques • Encouraging engagement, independence and participation within lessons and around the school • Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), behaviour support plans and other personalised interventions • Working collaboratively with teachers, the SEND team, pastoral staff and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for students • Creating a safe, structured and inclusive environment where every young person feels supported to succeed Every day presents an opportunity to make a genuine difference in a student's life by helping them overcome challenges and build the skills they need for the future.
