Position: SEND Teacher Location: Walton, Surrey Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00?am – 3:30?pm Salary: Paid to scale Role Overview We are seeking a dedicated SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Teacher to join our inclusive primary/secondary setting in Walton, Surrey. You will deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction for pupils with a range of additional needs, collaborating closely with classroom staff, parents, and external specialists to promote academic progress, well-being, and independence. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) aligned with statutory guidance and school targets. • Deliver tailored lessons, interventions, and support within the classroom and in one-to-one or small-group settings. • Conduct regular assessments, monitor progress, and adjust strategies accordingly. • Provide expert advice and training to mainstream teachers on differentiation and inclusive practice. • Liaise with parents, external agencies, and the SENDCo to ensure a coordinated approach to each pupil’s development. • Maintain accurate records, safeguarding documentation, and contribute to whole-school SEND policies. Required Qualifications & Experience • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a postgraduate certificate/diploma in SEND (or equivalent). • Minimum 2?years experience teaching pupils with SEND in a mainstream or specialist environment. • Strong knowledge of the EYFS/KS1-KS2 curriculum, statutory frameworks (SEND Code of Practice, EHC Regulations). • Excellent communication, organisational, and collaborative skills.
