Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education is currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support children in a welcoming primary school in Birmingham. This full-time Teaching Assistant job is starting in September and is expected to continue throughout the academic year.

About the Teaching Assistant Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2), including children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will work closely with teachers and school staff to provide personalised support and help pupils reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
• Support pupils across KS1 and KS2 classrooms
• Provide 1:1 support for children with SEND
• Assist students with learning, communication, and emotional development
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Use verbal, visual, and practical resources to support learning
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Work collaboratively with class teachers and SEN staff

Requirements
To be considered for this Teaching Assistant position, you should have:
• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
• Experience working with children, SEND, or vulnerable individuals (preferred)
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient, caring, and empathetic approach
• Confidence using verbal, visual, and practical communication methods
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday
