1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary – Rainham, Havering £100–£115 per day | Full-Time | Long-Term | Rainham Axcis Education is recruiting a caring and reliable 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to work within a primary school in Rainham, Havering, supporting a pupil with additional needs on a long-term basis. This role would suit someone who is confident providing consistent, individual support and understands the importance of building trust, maintaining clear routines and helping a child become more independent over time. Previous experience supporting children with Autism or other SEND needs would be highly desirable. About the Role Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with SEND Helping the child access classroom learning and daily routines Supporting focus, engagement and emotional regulation Working closely with the class teacher and wider SEND team Following the pupil’s individual support plan and EHCP targets Helping with transitions and changes throughout the school day Encouraging communication, confidence and independence Supporting the pupil both in class and during targeted interventions About You We would particularly like to hear from candidates who: Have previous experience as a SEND TA, LSA or 1:1 support worker Have supported children with Autism or additional learning needs Are patient, calm and able to build strong relationships Can remain consistent when a pupil becomes unsettled or disengaged Understand the importance of supporting without creating dependency Are reliable, proactive and comfortable using initiative Can commit to a full-time, long-term role The School & Location The role is based in Rainham, Havering, within a welcoming primary setting with a strong focus on inclusion and supporting pupils with additional needs.
